I keep meeting people who are surprised about the CoVid-19 pandemic and the social distancing strategies required to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. This is an especially common musing among adult children caregivers whose elderly parents are now isolated and without any visitors as assisted living and long term care communities try to prevent the members of their community from the coronavirus.
Well, one well-known individual is not at all surprised — Bill Gates.
According to a March 17, 2020 article in Fast Company, Gates has been warning us about a potential pandemic since January 2010. In her Fast Company article, All the Times Bill Gates has Warned Us About a Deadly Pandemic Like Coronavirus, reporter Kristin Toussaint shares many of his statements, like the one in the image on the right, about a deadly outbreak and how ill-prepared the world and the United States is to deal with it.
Bill Gates, one of the richest men in the world, was sharing the information everywhere he went. Why weren’t the leaders of our country listening? I guess we’ll be asking that question for some time.
